With several patents granted and filed, within a year of joining Wipro she got fellowship of the DMTS (Distinguished Member of Technical Staff). She led HOLMES AI Strategy, Eco-systems, Roadmap. She also built ETHICA-industry-first Ethical AI, DfT frameworks, AIOps, data marketplace, Data as IP practices. 

She started building AI solutions in 1997 as a Project Engineer at GEC UK, and coded industry-first expert systems.

Syed Shibli, a Harvard Business School alumnus and eminent business leader and finance expert, is recognised for building, leading and transforming global & regional finance across multiple business models (Healthcare/IT/KPO & Shared Services etc) for 24+ years enabling organisational health and driving value decision ranging between $250m to $10B  for multinational conglomerates such as Alameda Healthcare, Abeer Healthcare Group, Hewlett Packard and GE capital etc. Over 8 yrs have led the Group CFO role for Alameda & Abeer Healthcare group with a proven track record in strengthening investment, financing & business decisions enabling asset productivity and enhanced long term value creation. After 15 years with Gartner, Ian is now free to pursue his own interests in technology and the ways technology is used. 

Although Ian was a highly qualified and experienced ITIL Expert, he recognised that organizations needed greater agility than traditional ITIL could deliver, so he went on to lead the DevOps and Operational Agility research agendas for Gartner Research. This included driving the research into DevSecOps, Continuous Assurance, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Chaos engineering. 

The drive to agile operations came from deep experience. In 2008 Ian was one of the first ITIL V3 certified Experts, and was also on the OGC ITIL 2011 review panel.

In 1997 Ian had founded the Information Security practice for Exodus, then the world’s leading data center hosting organization (acquired by Cable and Wireless). As a Certified Information Systems Security Practitioner (CISSP), and ISO17799 Lead auditor, Ian then joined Gartner Consulting in 2004 and there founded both the Information Security practice and the Service Management practice, taking the business from zero to USD 11 million in 5 years. 

Under his leadership Gartner created a number of models and frameworks that helped organizations deliver security and operational organizations that were streamlined and fit-for-purpose. These innovations enabled organizations to realize solid business benefits from their investments in both security and IT operations. Many of those tools are still in use and delivering value today. 

Advice must drive leaders to action and actionable advice is what Ian has always delivered.
